The Hill Country of Central Texas is a mighty purty sight, and Blanco is smack dab in the middle of it. Blanco is about 45 miles north of San Antonio on the Blanco River. The river is a good place to wet a hook, whether you're on the prowl for bass, catfish or, in the winter, stocked rainbow trout. I can tell you from personal experience that the bass fishin' ain't too shabby. It's a very nice small town with a great (Blanco) State Park right there. Check out the links for some history of Blanco and some images of the town.
