If not, get the hell out of Texas. We don't cotton to liars. And we damn sure don't cotton to those who would turn our history into a fairy tale."
Damn straight!

The one who behaved as a sniveling coward was Ol'Santa Anna himself. He was captured at San Jacinto trying to escape wearing the uniform of a Private.

The heroes at the Alamo only had two options, stand and fight, or run for the hills. Surrender was not an option as General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna had passed a law that "all foreigners taken under arms would be treated as pirates and executed." That is what happened at Goliad, a massacre of freedom fighters that had surrendered and the General was PO'ed that they had been taken prisoner and not killed on the spot.
Thus the battle cry at San Jac was "Remember The Alamo!!! Remember Goliad!!"

One other thing, few know what Bowie told Travis when they watched as the Mexican Army arrived in San Antonio.
Bowie turned to Travis and informed him, the landscapers had arrived.no2liberalshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07606158501954738755noreply@blogger.com
